The island enjoys a remarkably consistent climate, with temperature variations rarely exceeding 3–4°C in a given location throughout the year. While Sri Lanka experiences two monsoon seasons – the Southwest Monsoon (May–September) affecting the south-west, and the Northeast Monsoon (October–February) affecting the north and east – there’s always a region enjoying dry, pleasant weather. Even during the monsoon, rains are typically brief, mostly in the afternoons, leaving the rest of the day warm and enjoyable for exploring or relaxing.
